  • In the end, Isn’t the Elijah Institute just about proselytizing people?

That’s a great question—and an important one. The Elijah Institute is not about proselytizing. Our mission is to support mental health professionals in offering care that honors the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—within the ethical standards of clinical practice. We serve clinicians who are working with Catholic clients and want to integrate their clients’ faith in a respectful, informed, and clinically appropriate way. Just as therapists may integrate other cultural or spiritual frameworks into treatment when it’s part of the client’s identity, we provide the tools to do that effectively with the Catholic tradition. In short, it’s not about converting people—it’s about respecting and supporting people where they are, especially when their faith is a source of meaning, healing, or struggle.
